Okay before I sell these claded halves at the flea-market for a dollar each can anyone tell me if these mint packaged kennedy halves are worth more than face value? What grade would they be if they are sealed from the mint? to me modern coins are nothing more but face value but I have 10-15 halves that I don't really want but not sure what to sell them for, suggestions?

I think that depends on the year/mm and the actual condition of the coin. Halves from 2002-present weren't released for circulation - so the mintages are significantly lower. Of course, most of them are mint state...but I still find them in rolls. If they're stellar quality, throw them up here in the B/S/T section and see what they'll bring!

    BTW - I'm just saying...I miss flea markets. :)

No one can answer this multi-part question because you haven't included any pics, dates, mint marks, etc.

Just because they are packaged in Mint cello doesn't guarantee they will be higher grades. They could just as easily be MS64 and worth little more than face. As BU said, without photos, we can't answer your questions.

I sell mine at the local flea market: two for three dollars, and I always sell out. Of course, these are just circulated examples I pick up at the nearest bank.

Mint-wrapped Kennedy Halves from the 70s and 80s aren't much better grade-wise than the coins issues in rolls and bags for circulation. In the 90s they get better. It's impossible to make a determination without seeing the coins.

The 87 P&D and the 2005 P&D were NIFC. The 87's especially, sell them for a little more.

As you can see some are in fantastic condition, some of the scuffs in the photos are the plastic not the coins.
