Should pose this as a trick question as these are not common. A couple of them came from Numismat which I am really grateful for.

What is one thing they share in common? (other than they are all struck in copper)

One thing I can't help noticing is that all of them have die cracks but at different locations - pretty bizarre. Before you cheat and look for the answers elsewhere, try and give it a crack!

Big hint: They are related to these coins somehow.

That's a bit ignorant. ;) I've seen as many fakes of US coins as I have of Chinese. And most of the fakes that I worry about actually come from Bulgaria, or parts unknown.

gxseries - they were all overstruck on earlier issues.

What's the third one struck over? Hard to make out the host details. =)

I've wondered about the die cracks, they seem to plague the Szechuan 100 and 200 cash issues. My only guess is that due to the sudden need to revaluate the currency, there was some haste in making the dies. They possibly opted for many quickly and crudely made dies instead of a handful of well made ones.
