I'm not a Lincoln collector so i don't know a lot about the strikes for different dates and such...but there does appear to be a slight trace of wear on the high points on the obverse (hair, ear, cheek, etc). I'm gonna say AU58
I have a sneaky suspicion the coin's been cleaned and retoned -- the coin's tone looks too pink and bright for its era to be nontampered with. If it's only the pictures that are making the coin look that way (the coin does have a lot of luster!), then I'll also have to with AU58. The wear on Abe's cheek is just too much to overlook.
63RD, but there's a good chance it'd get BB'd for "questionable color" or "recolored". I think it's been messed-with, but using what methods? I'm not sure...
There's a huge price jump from 64 to 65. I'm on the fence about sending it. I'm leaning toward 64 with the field hits but the reverse is so nice I think it has a shot.
The fields hits ? The one in the hair and the one at the bottom of the bust are way worse than those. My personal opinion, it's AU. But I can't see a TPG saying anything over 63 at best even if they ignore the light wear.
I think 63n1.. color looks ok to me. This hits are gonna holder her back, and I'm not 100% sure a tpg would call the hit in the hair a scratch.. kinda looks like an a scrape rather than a pure hit from another coin... Here's my 64RD, held back for a couple minor spots.
Yeah, but only when the hit on the devices is somewhat hidden because it's on the devices. But when a contact marks are that big, it doesn't much matter where they are, they will limit the grade.
That is a nice coin. I checked my best is an "F: so I will take that coin all day long. See a few hits on the rim which probably force it to AU. Also looks like there is some "woody" going on.
