Those two sets of pictures are worlds apart. Nice steal

 

I love this series, but that weak area just KILLS me. Which of course means I have to save up for one I really really like! Great score by the way, i would be stoked if thats what i received for $50

 

I know close to nothing about these half dollars. Anyone give an estimate price range for this specific coin in its condition for my knowledge?

I grade this one VF30. The rainbow toning areas will help it bring a premium on ebay. I'm guessing it'll sell for $100, or maybe a little more. Normally a gray VF CBH will sell for $80 or thereabouts.

That beat Vegas books this past year (at least nfl), well done. anything 55+ is like having a gravy train with biscuit wheels.

 

That's why sometimes I like NGC certified coins and the more recent PCGS coins : If the picture quality is poor, one can sometimes see a better image by checking the certification and seeing the professional picture.

As shown here, pictures can be a world of difference.
