Not my series, but I would think somewhere around a net grade of VF Details (improperly cleaned). That big "dig" on the obverse is eye-catching.
It looks to have details of at least an EF45 as well as some remaining luster peaking through. However, the gouge on the obverse and the rim ding visible on the reverse would harm the value. It was a little difficult to examine this coin because of the 90 degree rotation, so you may get more help from others if you align the coins as is typical in grading.
Ah I see sorry this was my first one bit of a noobie error :/ ill reupload the image as soon as im home, thank you for your help so far
What sort of value do you guys think it has even with the unsightly ding people in the 1830's need to be a little more careful!!
Looking at ebay well over a 100. While briefly looking there were quite a few pics of this guy getting his greasy hands on his coins, shame: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1831-Large-...05?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item35c493cefd
