Many people claim America has the worlds beautiful coinage ever. Being both an American and Albanian coin collector I strongly disagree Here is my collection of my favorite countries coinage; a small country in south east Europe Albania 1) 5 Qindar Lek 1926 r bronze - I own in condition called ms 66 2) 10 Qindar Lek 1926 r bronze- I own in ms 65 3) 20 franga Skederberg 1927 v gold - I own in ms 65 4) 20 franga zogu 1927 gold - I own in ms 62 5) 10 franga ari zogu 1927 gold - I own in ms 62 Finally the newest addition 2 franga 1926 r silver - I own in ms 64
if anyone has the opportunity can anyone tell me the population of the 2 franga coin pictured population in ngc? I know the population of pcgs but cant find ngcs. Thanks
I would never say America's coinage is the most beautiful. I especially love the first two coins you posted here. I would, though, put a buffalo nickel, WL half, St Gaudens $10 and $20, and especially an Oregon Trail half up against any coin the modern world has made. Not saying they would win, but I think they would have to be in contention. To me, the height of coinage art was 2400 years ago, and its been downhill ever since, with just a few uphill runs. Beautiful coins.
Oh really? Well, as for those first Albanian coins, many of them are very nice indeed. Congratulations! Christian
I am sure many people appreciate the attractiveness of modern European coinage, especially French and Italian issues. Those two countries always sem to have attractive issues. Now, if you could talk to your Norwegian friends and their ugly coins........
The current Norwegian circulation coins I don't find that bad. Excuse me while I talk to my Romanian friends about their coinage (again, circulation pieces only) though ... Christian

I think modern canadian coins are VERY boring. They're are just a hair better then current u.s. coins though, lol.
NGC 1926R 2F graded 18, 1 MS62, 5 MS 63, 6 MS 64, 4 MS65, 2 MS 66. 1926R 2F KM-PR7 SILVER graded 2, MS 65.
Thank you. All right with the exception of the KM PR-7. That refers to the special prova issue version of the above coin in which only 50 were minted. The above 2F is just a business strike and should be a regular km(I forget which)
1911 1 Centime; MS. This is smaller than a dime which makes it very hard to image. GORGEOUS purple toning. Possibly the most beautiful design in history, the late 1800's and early 1900's 5 and 10 centimes. I have another one without rim dings and with more detail but it has some verdigris on the reverse I need to get rid of before I image it.
