Anyone else do this? $500 half box

So I love searching me some boxes of half dollars for silver coins but I don't always have $500-$1000 to order a box or two. My bank (pnc) lets you order the box and not pay for it until it arrives. So what to do when you're short on cash and want to search?

i personally hate cash advance places, back during the crash we needed cash so we got stuck into paying the crazy fees to pay bills. But in the process I learned you can advance money(in MI at least) for 24 hours with no fees. So if I'm short on cash and want to order a box I go borrow some money, search the boxes and then take the coins and money back. Free box searching!

Don't need to be rich to search for silver!

I would say that's risky to do. Cash advances are never good. I would personally never do that. Just start saving up money to have a coin roll hunting fund and eventually you will have the 500 you need to buy a box

I wouldn't go to a bank that requires you to put a down payment of a box of money...
    You're exchanging money for money.

Just save up the $500, when you have it, get a box of halves. Go through the halves, dump it off, order another box.

Yea you only need the $500 once, then you're set...unless you find a box with 1000 silver halves in it; in which case go play the lottery.

Why? You'll be losing your money then!
With a minimum of $4,350, assuming ALL are 40%s... I'd keep it. Not gamble with it!

Now if you get a box of 1,000 90% coins, that is $10,600. I think I'd die.

I would get my "house" in order before roll hunting. Your not likely to strike it rich, so do what really needs done first.
