I have noticed a few of these auction in the past few days. They sure look fake to me, and I like the description "perfect, no scratches flaws or repairs".http://cgi.ebay.com/1881-United-States-of-America-Morgan-Silver-Dollar_W0QQitemZ110050000613QQihZ001QQcategoryZ3410QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item110050000613
This guy is all over ebay.I love the statement that bidding on his stuff will bring your family happpiness and blessings.I guess that means IF you don't squander their inheritence on "suspect" coins. To be fair,he never claims that they are authentic and in fact, the implication is that they are Chinese made. The bidder must have known this because it went for $1.90.
The buyer will cry when he finds out the total - shipping of 50gbp is a major ripoff. To add to the insult, a counterfeit? The buyer should have done some careful reading.
I especially like the slabbed 1886-CC Morgan he has for sale: http://cgi.ebay.com/1886-CC-The-coin-that-can-collect_W0QQitemZ110050086900QQihZ001QQcategoryZ3410QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I'd almost buy it for the :mouth: factor, if the shipping wasn't so much.
So the buyer spent $96.89, and if he isn't satisfied he can get almost 2% of his money back - which probably wouldn't cover his return shipping costs. .
newby I just saw one of his auctions that the buyer had only 9 transactions. what a way to start your ebay dealings. A little research would have saved a lot.
