    Obv:– Youth wrestling or restraining bull, both to left.
    Rev:– LARI/SAIA, bridled horse galloping right, rein trailing, all in incuse square
    Minted in Thessaly, Larissa from .c. 440-400 B.C.
    Ref:– SNG Cop 110. SGCV I 2111

    Right, a cow. (Surprise.) Why is it there? For two reasons. First, they explain how, before the "invention" of coins (and also later, depending on time and location), people used such "objects" for barter. Also, the Latin terms pecus (cattle) and pecunia (money) may be related. Let the linguists argue about that, to me it makes sense. :)
