i have been putting all 70 s cents aside. i woud not waste my time or yours by posting them all. these 4 are the best ones so any help would much appreciated. on the off chance that i had one of the small dates, is that the same one listed in the red book? thanks in advance
All of those pictured are large date. I found the easiest way to tell is by comparison to a known small date, In hand the 9 is quite different with a more closed loop. I spent time ti build a set of coins to use. The 1960 1c L/S dates, 1945 10c S/s, 1940 5 S/s, etc. Helps a lot.
Drats, all large dates. Here's a photo of my proof small date for comparison, I use the seven as the marker. If it sits high so that it's level with the top of the zero, that is your small date.
