Hi, I have a few nice franklins going to the grader next week. Sending in 5 nice Franklins from 1957 to 63. I own a good amount of high graded franklins in ICG, NGC, PCGS holders graded from Proof D-cams 67 and 68. Also I numerous Cam grades of 68. And I have ngc boxes full of Pr 68 Franklins. The reason I am asking the Franklin collectors on here, I have noticed prices are dropping big time on D-cam 68's. Why?
I think people are becoming more aware of whats out there and what's worth money, and I'd bet the pop numbers are rising gradually... that combined with the fact that strong hands and registries already have top-tier coins means that demand is falling.
I took my set that was in 2x2s and today I put them in a Dansco. I wish they had a hole for the 55 Bugs Bunny
They do have a hole for the 55 BB....its anywhere on the bottom row. My 55 BB occupies the bottom left hole.
Frankins are one of my absolute favorite coins, but I don't own the first one. Here soon I should be getting a few BU rolls, depending on their prices. I can't say why prices are fluctuating on certain ones; I'm not that educated with the Franklins yet.
Here is a quick pic I just took of what it looks like up close. I cherrypicked this off a dealer a couple years ago.
I cherry picked a 55 the other day and when I put it in my dansco I started looking through the album for any other bugs bunny varieties and realized I also have a 54. It doesn't show the actual 2 lines for the teeth, but rather the tell tale polish lines on the bridge of the nose and directly in front of the mouth. Made my day!
