OK perhaps I exaggerate I'm sure there are some greater...But I doubt in my lifetime I will see anything less likely. I was thinking to myself it had been awhile since I had found anything interesting since the war nickel that got me into this hobby 6 months ago. Bought a muffin and checked my change and noticed that one of my "quarters" didn't have Washington on either side. Got to my cube and discovered it was a 1987 Canadian quarter worth about 25 Canadian cents. Cool, anyway I was telling my sister about it and she (who has no interest in coins) decided to rummage through her purse to check the change she got in Vegas. A 1965 quarter (not silver) and a 1942 S wheat cent (bad condition). Pretty cool. I go to the card store last night and sitting on the table randomly is a 1953 (I think) Cayman Islands 5 cent piece in MS condition. I give $1 for it and find out later it's worth about $.10. Still cool! No one has any clue how it got on the table. Here's where it gets weird. My housemate walks in the store and is like "Hey is this worth more than a penny?" Hands it to me, I see it's a wheat. I say probably 4 cents. Flip it over, and 1942S. What?!! So after months of no finds, on the same day 2 foreign coins show up out of nowhere and then 2 people across the country from each other both find a wheat penny of the exact same year and mint.
I don't know. I have a hard enough time trying to figure out what he's telling me, so you're on your own, bub. :smile
I mean I wouldn't have posted just the Canadian quarter or Cayman coin. It was just the extremely bizarre fact of the wheats being the same that seemed remarkable.
I think its telling you to set up your sister and housemate on a date since they both found 1942 S wheats, it means they are possible soul mates!
The other day when I coin roll hunted $100 in nickels, as I picked a nickel up I thought to myself " I bet this will be a nice old nickel". Well whadaya know? It was a 1939 Jeffy in BU condition.
CAYMAN COIN? Wow! I think you might headed to CAYMAN ISLAND and withdraw something Big from one of the BANK there! Any wealthy RELATIVES over there?
