I have an 1855 Uno Centimes coin from France. Not sure if its worth anything but it looks to be at least an XF-AU. My next one would be a 1857 Flying Eagle in XF.
A quick look and I found a 1928 dollar that was my grandfathers birth year. He had the dollar coin in his pocket for many years and it shows the wear. Sure not in mint condition, but I wouldn't take a hundred dollars for it. Now I carry it in my pocket.
Hey check out the other post about pennies versus cents. As to age of those things I have 3 complete sets of Indian Head (pennies) and a pile of large cents(pennies) I'll never get that straight.
My oldest is an 1818 Large Cent, but its a very low grade. Probably G at best (but its my oldest American coin-along with my 1818 Half Dollar so I really like it).
I have a 1787 Fugio cent.:hail: I also have a 1723 Woods Hibernia half penny that's nearly the size of a large cent.
My oldest 1c. coin is an 1859 1c. from Canada.I collect Canadian coins,as Canada is the largest country in the entire British Commonwealth. Aidan.
1856 Flying Eagle Penny or Cent. Glad no one got carried away with the old penny/cent correction stuff.
