I found this coin while preparing to seed a lawn last spring. I am just wondering if anyone knows what this could be? I have no clue and would hate to ruin it by trying to clean it. Thanks or any help.

If this is not the correct sub-forum feel free to move this. I am not sure what this would fall under.

Thank you for your response. I kind of thought Spanish with the cross on it but wasn't sure. Im not exactly sure what 1 or 2 reales means. Can you explain?

    Thank you.

It's a Spanish denomination. "real" which means "royal", real is single, reales is plural. No longer used after the 1850s or so.
