Hey all, These are not the best pictures by any stretch of the imagination but they might be the best I can get with the camera I have. Any tips on how to get a good picture? Anyways just wondering what grade these might get and how much they might be worth. The 1908 and 1909 are both S's. Only 1 fit so if you want to see the other 2 let me know.
Nice. The '08s in EF-40 is $150 in the Red Book. '09S is $500 in the same condition. Realized price will depend on where you sell. I would guess you'd get 75-85% from a dealer, more if you sold on eBay. Both are key dates.
It is a little hard to tell from the pics and without seeing the Reverse! However, iif the Reverse is just as good as the Obverse, I would say that the coin has close to AU-55 details but might net an EF-40 due to the bad rim ding below the first "9" in the Date. Frank
You could expect VF/XF money out of that coin if sold at auction provided the reverse is in the same grade as the obverse. The ding really hurts.
The shadow makes it hard to see all the details but what I can see is that there is some ware around the eye and lower cheek but liberty and the end of the ribbon show no wear it should grade out around AU 50 even with the ding on the rim. List price 09S $600 and if the 08s is in as good as the 09 then around $200.
I believe your coin would grade above an au-50, assuming the reverse is nice. I personally don't feel the rim ding is significant enough to lower the grade, as I hope that it simply seems worse than it is due to the angle of the photo.
