Hi, I posted this recently but never really got an answer about what was going on with my ASE...It's slabbed by NGC, there's a minor crack on the top of the slab (see pic), and the coin has a very large amount of tiny tiny blueish spots all over both sides. I don't know how the slab cracked, but I'm concerned about the coin. Should I get it reslabbed or am I stressing too much? Thanks!
toning. My ASE looks way worse, but I understand why you dont want the spots all over the coin. my only suggestions if the spots bother you, sell that coin (listing the spots and small crack), and get the same coin without the problems. Maybe lose some money on the coin you sell, but in the end you'll probably be much happier and it wont be a 100% loss. Maybe a 15% loss?
I wonder if the slabbing technology will ever get to the point where the coins are sealed in a vacuum. I mean I know it wouldn't completely prevent toning, but it might go a long way.
I've been trying to figure out what's wrong with my ASE ever since I turned 50 and it started to lose muscle tone.
