Bust Quarter RPD?

This 1835 Bust Quarter appears to be struck over a different date or something? Between the 3 and the 5 there is the distinct appearance of a "2", there appears to be another "2", maybe a "3", seen especially within the top loop of the 3, and there is an "O", "0", or a loop of a different "8" between the 1 and the 8. Maybe I'm just seeing things, but the fact that the dirt or debris looks like numbers seems odd to me. One number maybe, but three??? Ive been wrong before, will be wrong again (maybe even now), but would humbly ask your opinions. Again, ANY input is appreciated as I have no expertise or knowledge in bust coinage (except being aware that there are a number of RPD's in halves). Thank you kindly. (These pictures aren't showing up correctly on my computer, so here are the addresses to them if it helps: http://i48.tinypic.com/2qxrfh2.jpg, http://i47.tinypic.com/23mq7a.jpg, http://i45.tinypic.com/e0296s.jpg) Yes, John Anthony, mark-h, and Leadfoot, this is a repost, but would like your expert opinions again since I am pointing out more specifically what I'm seeing. I'm seeing gunk.

That's corrosion - likely the result of an old cleaning...

    Not an RPD.

It's slabbed by NGC so they didn't see corrosion or a cleaning. Neither did I.

Looks like gunk to me too. I've heard of improper storage causing corrosion, but not improper cleaning.

Obv of B-5, early state, which is not a RPD.

are you saying NGC slabs gunked coins?

    Not just NGC...

I've found "gunked" coins in every TPG slab on at least one occasion.

It comes down to whether the TPG thinks the coin is "market acceptable", and the definition of "market acceptable" can differ greatly between each third-party.

Yep. Could just be gunk that wasn't distracting enough to warrant not grading the coin, or just leftovers from an old old cleaning. There is no RPD though.

Sure, why not? Every TPG does.
