I can only find this double die on ANACS Certified coins, yet PCGS and NCG don't seem to have any coins that recognize this particular double dyed coin.

Can anyone tell me if this is a true double die, or just something wished for on the coin...thanks for any info about this RPM and any info on the value of a coin graded MS-64 or better by ANACS or any other major grading company with this particular RPM.

I had 11 of this exact type of nickel, war nickels is what I call them. They were only made from 42-45 and some of the 45s are transitional. I ended up selling them for silver since they are like 35 percent or something. One thing I noticed about every nsingle one of them was major machine doubling. More than likely that is what it is. On the other hand everybody that finds a war nickel usually melts them down. So I say keep it, they are getting harder and harder to find. Even the banks will send these back to the mint if found.

ahh ok, thanks, so they're pretty common? But yeah, I'm gonna hang onto it, just wondering if the variety of a P/P is something that makes this more rare, or would increase it's value among collectors? Or if its something that's even recognized by collectors?

Now maybe you can help me. Do you know anything about the 1988 Transitional errors in LIncoln cents?
