Anyone know what sort of lighting is used - incandescent, fluorescent, halogen, etc? I've read that halogen lighting is best for coins.

I have some Ikes that show up with electric blue toning under a halogen light - hardly noticable under other light sources.

    Anyone know for sure?

Regardless of the type of lighting used, PCGS has an incredible advantage for acquiring images because they coins are not yet certified when the images are taken. Therefore, plastic glare is not an issue and this opens up many options for the number of lights and angles used.

or they are temporarily taken out of the plastic.
Don't forget, they BLAST the coins with light too.

These aren't the best examples, but this is what they look like under halogen lighting.

Guess there's one way to find out what their pics will look like...
