20/12/2012 - one day before the end of the world - the Central Bank of Brazil announced the recall of coins of $ 0.50 that were minted with denomination of $ 0.05.

"For failure of industrial production at the Mint of Brazil, may have come into circulation coins of $ 0.50 (fifty cents) which have, in reverse, the denomination 5 cents."

According to the Mint, to 40,000 coins can have the defect, which is equivalent to two hours to produce a single device.

I'd love to buy one, but none have appeared in familiar outlets.
