A tough year for mint state coins, this one is in a Canadian TPG flip (CCCS) as MS-63RB. I love this coin for the triple die clashes that are very prominent on the reverse.
i dont have any, but would love to end up with at least one example. since i dont know much about these, can anyone tell me if they are the standard size of other coins so i might find one in a roll one day??
I found two Newfie half dimes in a lot of Canadians. I have them, a penny from the 1890's, and a half dollar from 1917. That's my Newfie collection. I paid about $30 for the half, but the others I got for a buck each.
Oh no! I got No Newfys!! lots of netherlands and icelands even new zelands and deutchlands but no newfoundlands. Gonna have to correct that
At a nearby pub, during a few Canadian coin show, I got to examine all these Newfoundland beauties in hand while having pints with their owner: http://www.pcgs.com/SetRegistry/OtherSets.aspx?m=18347 it is a shame that the owner of these coins does not have them photographed - you will never see a finer collection of NFLD coins...
A 2012 Christmas present, to me, from me... PCGS MS-64RB. Apologies for the quality of the photo, the slab containing the coin appears to have had a harder life, than the coin itself.
Ummmm, can I please throw-in "New Brunswick" ... sadly, there is seldom a thread for that awesome province!! Thanks
Revi => you should post it!! ... I love seeing lotsa coins (oh, and no two coins are ever alike) I love the coins from the Maritimes!! (let's see a Nova Scotia coin!!) :hail:
By the way => Nova Scotia only minted coins in 1861, 1862 and 1864 ... and they only minted half-cent and one-cent coins (how awesome is that?!!) ... awesome!!
Here's a (Half) Newfie! I have a bunch, but no picts... same reasons as below Don't forget Poor Little PEI! I have a PEI half cent, but cant post due to: a) Lack of Pictures b) Lack of time
