Colorado State Quarter

This is strange. My sister and I both place our uncirculated state quarters in Whitman folders. They usually fit nice and snug. Then came the Colorado state quarter. It won't fit into the slot provided without pressing and forcing. As a result, I made a long crease on the page due to forcing in the Colorado quarters. How can this coin be of a different size? It happens with both the P and D coins.

that happenens to me all the time. it happens in cents, nickels, dimes, and quarters. all i do is just get a regular quarter and hammer it in there:hammer: , take the regular quarter out, and put the state quarter in. the folder holes in the folders are not the same for some reason on the sides of the folder. this has happened to me occasionaly. i've put many creases in my folders before i knew about this. try it, it works. :smile

    Great Idea !

I never thought of that. Great suggestion. Too bad I already creased the pages. Could there be something slightly different with the Colorado quarters regarding diameter?

Oh man, I agree, Some are very difficult. I have 2 original 1958 whitman indian head books in excellent condition, and they were quite the task...

I tell ya this is a major source of irritation. That's why for my best sets I went with the Dansco albums with the sliding clear plastic. Of course now I can crab about the slides getting long horizontal scratches...
    It's always something.
