An article in my local newspaper claims that the Uncirculated Tennessee State Quarter has appreciated 1200% in value since its issue. I never heard of any unc state quarter appreciating like that. They don't say if it's P or D. It can't be an S as that is proof-only. Any truth to this ad?

The Tennessee quarters are being scooped up by the millions and turned into Elvis Trinkits Sold at Graceland and many other places world wide.

This could explain why I hardly find any Tennessee quarters in my change. The mintage was quite high!

The companies that produce these Elvis items have stockpiled millions of Tennessee quarters for what they figure will be Many, many years of future demand.

They must not have gotten this far west, as we have all kinds of them in circulation here.
9 out of 10 of them are from the Denver mint, so it must be all in the east and south that this is noticed.
