    1964 kennedy ddo/ddr

i found a '67 D DDR earlier, and now i just found a '64 P DDO. doubling to WE TRUST, and the Y in LIBERTY. uncirculated, but it has some ugly toning. i swear, sometimes a light dip will improve a coin instead of wrecking it.

Nice find. I'm not familiar enough with 64 DDs to attribute minor varieties, so I can't help you out there.

As far as the toning goes, it looks like dirt to me. Try giving it an acetone bath first.

If properly done, course it can be an improvement. If you've not yet done so, take some AU+/UNC junk and experiment.

There are all sorts of minor varieties in the 1964-69 halves, and while most are not premium-worthy, they can be fun to find.
