Epirote Republic 238-168 BC Something of a scrawny eagle but not a coin I see every day Also unusual is this Athenian triobol or hemidrachm (one drachm = 6 obols) with a facing owl. Larger drachms and smaller obols had side facing owls so this pose made the denomination different. The huge decadrachm also used a facing owl but that one had open wings.
