Couple of high grade 1888 double florins picked up in Oz

    Just got these for about £34 each in Australian timed auction with no live session. Many of their lots went unsold, especially the ancients. The start prices are often too high but i thought they were worth a shot. One bid on each coin, me! the toning on one might put some off but i quite like it.

    What's the fineness on those? Is it .900?

    The toning isn't right.I hope it is just the pictures.
    If they do appear like that you have paid top £.:(

    I bought a peace medal that looked tan and came through in the post as chocolate brown......we'll see.....but very nice grades....worth a punt....
