In the 50's, die chips were fairly common. I've kept all the ones I can see with the naked eye, however they really aren't worth anything. Just a fun little error. Good find!
It has a little over two cents worth of copper but as far as collector value not much. As Dave said above, die chips were common for 1950s Lincoln Cents, especially on the obverse and especially around (and in) letters and numerals.
Nice 1952-S! This is a very nice break listed in Jean Cohen's book as 52S-C52 page 187. I love this coin. I would buy it from you if possible.
