I guess I had never even seen things like slabs signed by non-numismatic people. Does anyone in the coin industry ever make markets in such junk, or do dealers just treat is as a common ASE, which it is?
Been too long since I've looked, but years ago there used to be several dealers and web sites that specialized in selling autographed slabs. They never seemed to have any trouble selling them. And yes there are thousands and thousands of the things out there.
HSN? ShopNBC? Insert any other retailer that buys bullion and grades out the great pieces and sells the rest as BU. There has to be some volume deals going on here. Right? Edit: Who's autograph is that anyways? Is that last name Moy? Didn't realize he was an American Hero! Edit 2: Yea I see it now....
that explains the mass production of eagles. THE MINT IS JUICING. Does this mean i need to have all my eagles checked I love it
Yes, a lot of posts today, but no reason to pee in a cup. The reason is that I wanted to do a contest for my 500th post and was only a few posts short. That being said there were a few more topics today that I was interested in and took part in those discussions. Needless to say I kind of blew past that 500 post mark! I will post the contest in the appropriate section when I get it organized and figured out.
Lance yes - coin no. And just like lance no juice(or spots) when it was competing for the grade, but now it is showing its true colors.
