To me, it doesn't seem to be a misprint but an issue when the sheets of banknote were cut wrongly. However I'm not too sure if there were sheets of dollar notes available to the public back in 1986. The problem of such "error" notes these days are created by fraudlent people who purchase sheets of bills cheaply and cut it in such a way that it seems to be an error note.

Just wait and you'll get some experts to talk more about it :)

Welcome to cointalk by the way.

Uhh, No, It's definently an error. The 3rd print is shifted down quite a bit, and it is also mis-cut...it might be worth something, but i'm not really sure...

I don't know much about it really. It is my granddad’s and he has had it for as long as I can remember. He also told me about how some people would cut it wrong purposely. I just pointed out that the green ink had been misprinted today and he said he had never noticed.

it's "value" is $1... but the only way to find out what it's worth is to find out what it's worth to a collector... only way to find that is to sell it...
