I am fancying to have a collection of pre-1995 bills, silly me thinking that the newer 50s and 100s were of the same old series..

Is it fairly easy to come across them in banks? I currently only need the 20 50 and 100, and am wondering if I go to buy them from someone they will expect an outrageous premium.

    Thanks :)

What exactly are you trying to collect and acquire?

    A pre-1995 $100, 50, and 20. The ones with the small portrait.

Generally unless its a star note...has an error...fancy serial number or if its block run has a small print run their face value. If its uncirculated and grated very high would give them a small premium.

I've actually sold a few regular circulation grade pre-1995 bills with nothing special about them on ebay for small premiums. For example a 5 for $7.50 or a 10 for $13. I sure don't make much money on them, but I don't really have the heart to spend them anyway haha.
