This one is about to expire so hurry! This is a 1796 S-116 (R5) variety. There appears to be good detail and a bit of condition issues, but it's hard to tell from the small photos. There is usually weakness at the double leaf at NT of the reverse. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1796-Draped...dividual&hash=item4ac0c41ae4&autorefresh=true
Here it is. I have to say I was surprised by the reverse... The description did mention the issues but the pics didn't show them well. I do think that for the $440 I paid I might still be able to get out of it at a profit. What do you guys think?
I know man made damage like that kills a coin value, much more so than corrosion, but I think there is a nice profit in that coin still. I'd call it 25 net 5, will look up it up in the price guide later.
G5 in scudzy has a book price of $400. Found a pretty decent comp at Heritage, corroded with damage: http://coins.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=1154&lotNo=4005 I think there is some profit in there.
