I added this to my collection not to long ago. Another of my favorites. So have at it.

It is NGC graded click the pics to enlarge

Edited to add that my dumb arse took pics with my fingerprint on the slab reverse. They are not on the coin. The last pic best represents the reverse.

There used to be a picture of a car going around the ngc forum. I wish I had the link. The was x color yet lots of monitors showed it as y. There was also consitency in which system the users had which saw y color. Just saying.

    65. The luster carried it for me.

Yadda, yadda......I still want better pics. And not ones that that portray this coin as a 1943 knock off.......

Great die clash on the obverse with a whopper of a fingerprint and what I interpret to be die polish on the reverse. I'll go with MS65BN given the sharpness of the cut in the obverse field.

Tom I nearly had a heart attack. I did not pay close attention to my pics other than cropping and sizing. I thought the coin had a print I missed. I quickly ran to check it and thank goodness it is my dumb print on the slab. The las set of pics represents the reverse best.

Also I am not seeing the die clash could you help me out.

And yes those are die polish lines on the reverse. I think they are neat.

Very nice Lincoln! Is that the actual color? I love when they are dark, almost black. 65BN

Yes this is the actual color. Very dark but it really pops in the light.

5BN wouldn't surprise me, but I guessed NGC 66BN. They love lustrous brown coins.

I'm going to say an MS-65 BN. The scratches on the reverse is what probably holds it back from a 66. I absolutely love those early, brown and toned copper!

This coin is certified NGC MS65. Extremely bold strike near perfect surfaces and great luster on this one. I do not think that the die polish on the reverse held this coin back. IMO it is the fact that this coin is toned quite dark which also restricts the luster but only a little. I can see this in a 66 holder myself but I will leave it where it is.
