I was wondering how the experts on cointalk would grade this coin and what they consider the value to be. I felt like I got a good deal, but it was still a decent chunk of change. Thanks!
I figure this is a Flowing Hair Silver Dollar. The value on this I am guessing is around $3400.00 to $3700.00. I love it! Looks to be in F15 to VF20 and original 3 leaves variety. EDIT: Oh and I am not an expert. Just taking a whack at it. Let us know what the holder and pricetag was.
Well, I was curious because this is an ICG graded coin and I was afraid that it might have been over graded. ICG gave it a VF-25. The pcgs dealer I bought it from felt sure it would grade VF20 by pcgs. I paid between F15 and VF20 money for it and felt like I got a good deal. Still though, I was curious as to what others might grade it without any bias. I had considered crossing it over to pcgs, but I'm not sure it would be worth it. I suppose if it crossed at VF25, it would be, but if it dropped to VF20, it would likely be a wash. I'll probably just keep it as is...for now.
