At least NK's efforts involve some tangible things. Our FED need not do even that much to damage the currency and are most assuredly more dangerous to it than any other. Of course that is by design...so it's perfectly legal. Do as I say, not as I do!
Actually it depends on what section of Title 18 you look at. BUncirculated quoted section 490 which does make counterfeiting one and five cent pieces illegal. Detecto did not quote which section he was looking at but it was section 485 which only makes counterfeiting coins of greater than five cents illegal. So you are both right. The reason for the two different sections goes back to when the coins greater than five cents were made of silver and gold. The law created one section covering counterfieting of gold and silver coin, and another section that covered the counterfeiting of the minor base metal coins.
Lest we forget the entire "purpose" behind coinage in the first place...................but then, that purpose is no longer needed given the fact that precious metals are no longer used in barter and trade for general commercial transactions like buying a sack of taters......................
Saw the title....saw the poster.....I ain't wading through this one. San Fran got robbed and I ain't happy at the moment.....
Dang it Schnauzer, stop scratchin' your head. There was clearly a 'hold' on that San Fran touchdown attempt.........
First theyed have to figure out how to make them cheaper than we can. And if they do, OUR government would place a HUGE order.
Come on now, Jeff; this is the savior of humanity we're talking about here. Don't you want to be "propelled 1000 years into the future"?
I suspect that's well beyond his, ahem, skill level, but do think the two would get along just fine. They've much in common and are both a couple of "rarities" for sure.
