It's not OBW. It's let's go to wal-mart and buy a quarter roll and put all these I found out of bank boxes in the roll then list it on eBay. So it'd be a ILGTWABAQRPATIFOBB roll of 1983 au/bu roll quarters

Mintage numbers never tell the whole story - as in NEVER. There were no mint sets made in 83, so collectors looking for high-grade examples are forced to search through rolls. Slabbed coins at 65 and above will easily sell for large premiums. Here's a good article as to why 83 Washingtons are valuable...

  8. IMO, too much of a gamble on eBay. An ultra high grade would bring moon money but no guarantees you would get anything decent. TC

Whelp... were I the seller and brilliantly decided to offer as an OBW, it would not be in a cointain wrapper. I also would not have made the effort to advertise a slabbed 66 of the same date/mint as being from a supposed "sister roll". That said, there are good reasons this date brings rather high premiums, so don't be too quick to dismiss because of the mintage.

I just said "OBW" because the Seller did...

Btw, if this is an "OBW" roll, how does he know they're..."ALL GEM UNCIRCULATED!!!"

Nothing goes down like some ice cold water. Which is basically what bud is.

I'll never drink that crap unless it's free and there is quite literally no other way to get anything else. Be classy, drink microbrews... the quality is head and shoulders above swill like Budweiser. If you give me your location, I can tell you what local microbrews you should try.

OP, assuming it was an original, sealed roll, I don't think $400+ is out of the question. As stated, no mint sets those years make finding nice coins dang near impossible.

No doubt...I'm just amazed that ANY uninspected clad roll would sell for this much.

I have nearly 200 rolls of 1972-d quarters I searched for the fabled "Type-B" (proof) reverse. I got them for $16/roll and cherry-picked about 40-50 coins I believe to be MS-66 or higher. I agree that now is the time to cherry-pick these rolls...if you can get them at a reasonable price.

I'm a teetotaler these days, but the only time I drank Bud was back in college days. Everything goes down good in college.

Like the listings that say unsearched wheat pennies wide variety of dates and mint marks.... Of course :)

I'd pay about $10 for the roll.

Cazkaboom One for all, all for me.

Coin-Tainer is a in store bought roll. Not an OBW. I wouldn't have anything to do with it.

Indeed, that makes me suspicious that these have been searched and rerolled. Chances are very good you won't find any gems. Given that, as fade to black said, $400 would be about all I'd go.

Yup, even if you got close to $20 per quarter average by reselling them individually, that's only $800 max.
