You didn't. Doug likes to give "complete" answers, lol.

Btw, you can call me Chris. :) It appears we will be talking a lot to each other.

Hey, I really like it here ... I wouldn't change a thing!! (I'm actually finding the variety very refreshing) ...

Ummm sorry, but you'll have to excuse my dear friend, Bing ... he slips off his meds every now and then.

I have been trying to coach him through his occasional Tourette's syndrome outbursts ... we will all try to keep him on the straight and narrow ...

Yup, he's a stubborn ol' mule, aintcha Bing? ... c'mon boy, let's get ya back to the ward, shall we?

    :halo2:

    Your dearest pal,
    Jerry

Oh, OK. I forgot my meds again? Darn it.

Thanks Chris. You can call me JW, but just in case you haven't noticed, we all seem to have several nicknames. We'll find one that fits for you soon enough.

And for others it's the other way around. ;) My focus when it comes to collecting is on modern coins from Western/Central Europe and North America. Some of them are in the same forum as ancient coins, others (US) are in a separate forum. Then you have topics in "World & Ancients" where some people post lots of US coin images - they would be better off in "Coin Chat", I think. Nah, wait, half of the topics in that forum is about US coins which in theory have their own forum but practically ... never mind.

My point is that yes, the categories here, and what people post where, may be a little odd. On the other hand, I am not here because I like that setup so much but because of the other members and what they post. After a short while you can pretty easily tell which topic is about what. The "balloons" that pop up when you mouse over a list of topics help too. And if once in a while I erroneously end up in a topic about ancients, it won't kill me. :)

Maybe I am just weird, i like it all. At least concerning coins struck for circulation, find any interesting and love reading about them.

1832 half dimes, modern mexican, or a denari, all can educate us, and i find them alo interrelated.

Like I've said before, I feel its ok this way. Plus if people who start a new thread was to use a good title the reader basically knows what its about already. This lets them know whether they want to read about it or ignore it.

You didn't, not at all. You asked a fair question, and I answered it.
