I did 2 boxes of halves on tuesday.

1 2012p and 1 2002 d for my book. Skunk on silver.

Did a bag today of a $1000. Skunk. Think I got somebody's dumps.

32 skunk boxes of halves in a row now... I'm quitting halves for awhile. I have been noticing a few I found sound like lead, or a plastic poker chip when I drop them on a table. I later noticed that the 1976 coins had a regular reverse, not the bicentennial. It was then that I figured out these were magicians coins and I saw the seam where the 2 pieces were put together. I've found 5 of them so far, not sure what to do with them.

 

Send one of them to me, id like a magicians coin, whatever that means?

 

Today's results:

$25 Dimes: 1946P, 1964D, UK 5 Pence.

$40 Quarters: Skunk. Didn't get rid of what I alrerady had or would have gotten more.

 

The second box of halves was very solid. 5 x 40%ers!
5 boxes this week. Only one skunk. 7 x 40% and 2 x 90%

i have a lot of work to do. i ended up with a full box of canadian pennies each roll labeled from 1969 to 1979. i think they may have been rolled close to 1979 as the one roll i opened was all 78, and some were nicer than my 2012s im digging out of circulation. the 69 box was mostly brown. lots of 76, 78, 79 in there to look for double dates. (if it wasnt already done before they were rolled...i hope not.)

 

$48 loose halves: Nothing
$500 CWR halves: One 40%. I'm pretty sure about 45 of the rolls were originally searched by me several months ago, don't know if I just missed the 40% or if the other rolls got mixed in.
$2 Ikes: Nothing
$1 CWR pennies: One wheat, 32 copper
$65 BWR dimes: Nothing
$185 CWR dimes: Two silver Roosies

 

I have searched $100 in dimes today came up empty handed but have another $100 in nickels for tommorow.

Went bank to bank looking for halves on Friday.
I found $240 BWR halves and $430 CWR halves. All Skunk!
Also found a PNC bank that had about $200 of CWR halves. They got all of them out and on the counter. Then the teller asked me if I wanted to debit my account. I said that I was from out of town and I don't have an account. She said, "Sorry" and just smiled.

I going to assume that it was all clad...at least that makes me feel better.

Also picked up two boxes of dimes from a few banks and will search them this weekend.

 

well 2 boxes of nickels and three boxes of dimes, then $6 in pennies another $5 in dimes and another $14 in nickels from drawer. 1 bufflo,a few foreign coins. the double headed eagle my daughter chloe found. she wanted me to tell everyone lol. 1 wheat, 2 silver dimes, 2 war nickels, a dime that looks to be clipped, and 3 pennies that i think someone tried to eat. all in all feburary is looking up. not the best in the world but already better than Jan.

 

Ahh, a bummer. Occasionally, you don't have to give out more information than what's asked. Simple response here could have been "no, (while placing the bills on the counter) I'll just pay cash."

 

Hey everyone....it has been two months since I posted. On black Friday I was at a bank and someone stole my briefcase with my laptop out of my car. With it, all of my stats of my findings. The back up was on the thumb drive....also in the briefcase. Well, that really ****ed me off (as you can imagine), and I lost the motivation and haven't been searching much lately. I still do it a little, and in the last two months I've probably found about 7 or 8 40%ers, 2 Frankies, 5 Roosies, 1 Merc and 1 War Nick. Not much, but things have dried up down here. Of course, that could be because I haven't searched near as much. I still am really bummed that I lost all my stats.

Anyway, I hope all of your hunting has gone well. Since I'm not searching as much, I won't be posting as much as I used to, but I'll still post.

1 silver dime
11 wheaties
1963 canadian Hanging 3 variety
Possible 1983 95 % copper penny D, Unique needs to be verified for not fake, if weight is right.
1 Silver nickel(wartime)

so yeah out of 5 penny rolls, and 2 dime rolls, and 1 nickel roll. Not bad results.

Went and dumped my Thursday pick ups this morning. The long was uber-long but decided to wait and get some new stuff. It paid off.
I got $200 in dollars-1 NIFC, $100 in quarters-a butt-load of denali's(I'm going to start dumping these when I get them), $40 in nickels gave me 6 pre-60 and 1 09D. The icing on the cake though was I asked the teller if she by chance had halves and she said that she had $6 worth. As she pulled them out she said "It's your lucky day. I think some are silver". All 12 were 40%ers. Would've liked some 90% but I won't say no to some 40%ers.

Im kinda new to this, sorry but can anyone answer me, what skunked means?
Does it mean all junk face value coins?

 

Hey HOTN. That's twice you've encouraged me to do better. Thank you. Went around town Thursday and picked up $3000 in misc coins. Got an extra 90% and 2-40% halves! That put me over 10 oz for the month! That's a new higher monthly record.
