    Hi guys,

Could you let me know what I should pay for this barber dime and what the grade may be? I read about NNC not really being a qualified grader. I like the look of the coin, but I don't want to be ripped off. Thanks

I'd say if you can get it for $500 or less go for it :D, But don't be surprised if they want a little more. Maybe in the $1500 plus range...

    Good Luck

It's a little high.I'd say it's only MS65.There's two contact marks on the cheek and neck that is holding it back from a 66.

For a coin in an NNC holder it is really nice. I would love to get my hands on it.

I was thinking of sending it in to anacs. What do you guys think?

I would never buy a coin like that slabbed by that company without seeing the coin person. It's just too much money to take the chance.

The coin appears to have some friction on the cheek, which in my mind limits the grade to a 63, maybe a 64 on a very good day. The toning is beautiful I must say. I would not buy it, because it may be cleaned altered etc. which the toning could hide. I would stick to NGC and PCGS, and ANACS.

On a side note, if you have seen the coin in hand, and it is problem free, then I would say anything under 500 is a good deal, but that is a very subjective price.

ok, my opinion. too many marks on the obverse. I see two on the cheek along with the run, a nice mark on the neck or it looks like it to me. If, I were to be the one looking to purchase this coin, I would make sure there are return options, I have a feeling the photo might be hiding something here. Is a higher grade coin without much doubt. MS66, no way. 62-63 I would say. Price on this one. I think with a return option I would try and stay under 400. No return option, 150 tops. There ya go.. my two cents, get 50 more opinions and ya have a buck.

It's best to only do business with people you know, and trust, especially when buying unfamiliar items on the internet.

I'd pass on that one, and try and get a deal on "Complete Guide to Barber Dimes", by David Lawrence.

The toning may or may not be natural and it could be hiding blemishes.

It is very pretty, but I agree with DJ Coins, it may or may not be natural. Altho, if not, I would like them to work on some of my coins.
It is definately not a MS 66, maybe a 63.
Although, it would go for more because of the colors.
