State quarters get lots of bad publicity from collectors. Yet so many hoard them. How many clad quarters do you have? How many 2009-2012 quarters do you have? How do you determine if you will save a clad quarter? I personally like the newer quarters. It's a nice change from the boring Washington quarters. I have just started collecting. I only have 4 1999-2012 quarters. I have about 240 clad quarters. All in nice to medium condition. When I get them, I only save the shiny new looking coins without major scratches now to replace the less nice coins I have in the set. I started saving 2012 dimes and nickels since they seem to be in abundance where I live.
Some people can be so fussy lol. I like 'em personally! I think they're fun to find and where the only thing I'm missing for my collection is American Samoa, I've started two folders for my little brothers yesterday so all together I'm missing a bunch. I guess I have about 70 all together. I like to replace my older looking ones for nicer ones when I can. Have you seen the state park quarters? I think they're a bit excessive but I'm still collecting them lol.
I only save the ones that I've gotten in proof and mint sets. On a side note, I've observed (at least 'round these parts) that a lot of the older State Quarters have been making an appearance. Guess folks that hoarded them are releasing 'em back into the wild. I just went through a hoard of quarters ($300) that my daughters boy friend had amassed within the last year and there were a ton of New York's, Connecticut's, New Jersey's and Pennsy's.......
I actually thought you were joking. I would get stack able laundry machines. Designed for apartments.
I think you're joking... You can't just put a laundry machine and dryer and stack them up in the closet. You have to have the plumbing, ducting and wiring in place to support them. I'm not going to invest that kind of money in a place I don't own.
Actually they come in 110 and 220 volt varieties for the dryer. Washers are 110 volt and use a standard water hose that easily plugs into any facet. Think of all the money you can invest in extra half's after you save the cost of the machines. Most apartments can easily fit them in the bathroom.
I'm not going to spend god knows how much money on something like that when I will probably buy a house within a year. It's not cost effective. I spend maybe 10 bucks a month on doing my laundry at the laundromat... maybe $10.
