gem from eBay?

This coin was for sale a few weeks ago en eBay. It looked suspicious to me, but since I have never seen a confirmed fake 1914-D, I wanted to get some opinions on the matter before I jump to conclusions. The D looks too far from Lincoln's chest, and maybe there is some photoshop manipulation or filing of the date (from a 1944-D??)

Apologies if this coin was already discussed in the forum weeks ago. I didn't see a thread posted recently.

p.s. the same seller had a 1916-D mercury dime. Hmmmmm....:rolling:

It's definetly not a 1914-D. Looks like an altered 1944, on a real one the D should not be under the 1 at all, and the spacing between the 9 and 1 is too wide.
