Ive posted these before but I have since had them photographed by Todd - BluCC so I figured I'd show them off again.
Thanks. I think I've gotten lucky with all the ones I got. Most had no interest on ebay or I found them with a couple hours to go such as the walker. Heres the luck story for each one...the 24 I fell asleep in the last 10 minutes on ebay waiting to snipe. Rick Tomaska won it and I had to track him down months later and pay 50% premium from what he paid on it. It was my first offer and he accepted. the Green 22D i was the only bidder at 99$ The 23 with orange and lime toning I had to back out of the sale last minute and over a year later the seller still had it on their site at 2x what I originally was going to pay and sold it to me for the same price as agreed upon before. The walker I saw braddick post on PCGS and wanted the coin for months. Stumbled upon it with 4 hours left on ebay and sniped it . The uruguay coin I was the only bidder at 19$ The rainbow 23 was from grip who is a great guy. Needs to find its way to NGC soon to see if they will accept it.
Here ya go... http://colocalders.com/?p=2100 Scroll down to black sulper springs... or dig a well in back yard until you hit black sulpher water.. or just go get a gallon jug from you local farm boy. Dip your coin folder in it.. allow to dry.. repeat again.. allow to dry... repeat again... allow to dry. (no mixing chemicals here... all NATURAL, from mother earth,, fresh rolling natural water) ... your doing nothing more than cleaning your coin folder before you put coins in it,, with 1million year old natural water. Now put your coins into "dry" coin book and put in warm humid place... essentially the direct opposite place anyone in the forum would say to put it for "sound" coin storage. Let sit a few weeks, and presto'..... you'll be absolutely SHOCKED at how what's inside the will nearly mirror all those NT book toned examples you see our gallary of NT toner "experts" post every day. It's so easy, that I do not even collect book toned coins anymore. Give it a spin,,have fun, and let me now what you get.
haha.. let me know. We should get someone to employ gbrokes potato method too.. and then do a side by side of results. I think it was: 1 - get potato (has to be organic, or results are considered AT) 2 - Cut slot into potato 3 - slide coin into potato 4 - preheat oven to 350 (as to be gas heated,, electric heat is AT) 5 - place potato inside for "x" amount of time (need gman's guidance here) 6 - remove and eat potato, removing coin first... rinse and dry coin (air dry,, use of towel is AT)
It sounds perfectly plausible. I know potatoes contain a generous share of amino acids that contain sulphur in their structures.
