Question about 1922...

    ...why were there no silver coins (but for the silver dollar) minted in 1922? Thanks, Jim

    Ah, but there is another US silver coin dated 1922.

    Anyone know what it is?

    Grant commemorative half dollar.

    While you're pondering the answer to that last question, I can tell you that in 1922, the Mint made silver dollar production it's top priority, causing other denominations to be produced sparingly, if at all, that year.

    Read the info in this web-page. Might give you a little insight into what went on in the early part of the last century.
