Mercury Dime Contest

Since I have started reading these forums I have been helped many times by many members. I want to do this contest as a thank you to cointalk. Although its not much, its will be fun!

Rules: Post up to 5 Mercury dimes that you own and are currently in your possession. I will pick my favorite one on 15 Feb 2013. The prize will be a $10.00 RADAR with the serial number JB71877817A.

There really is nothing in particular I am looking for in the coin but I will tell you out of all of them I have seen gbroke's (pic below) is my absolute favorite. That dime is not eligible to be entered I like the character it shows.

I have about 35, put they are all beat up. So I won't post them.

 

I don't own a Merc that is worth more than bullion, but this is my favorite Merc ever.

What do the FSB and SB mean?

I, unfortunately, do not have any toners. The only mercs that I have are in avg circulated condition w/o any pretty color...

 

Im not racist I don't hate the colorless.

 

Alright, if you really want to see them, I guess I'll go grab my crappy old iPod (the only working camera that I currently have) and take some pics. Just remember, I am fairly new to a coin collecting world outside of pennies, so don't judge my measly colection of mercs

 

FB= Full Bands

FSB= Full Split Bands

Referring to the center bands on the fasces on the reverse.

 

Most of mine look like they were dragged behind a truck!
