D.W. Lange has passed away!

To those that new him, MarkFeld has posted the David lost his battle to cancer. He will surely be missed in the Numismatic Community. RIP David!!

Very sad....conversed with him occasionally on the NGC Forums but never met him.

I'm sure that the vets here knew him very well and from what I hear, he was just the salt of the Earth.

Condolences to his family at home and also his NGC family.

 

Sorry to hear; he and I had a few interesting conversations in the past.

 

He will be missed. Terrible News. I messaged with him last year on a topic. Terrible.

 

This is very sad news. I had also messaged with him at NGC on a few occasions (but never met him). The amount of knowledge he possessed was unsurpassed, and his recent BCCS journal articles on early coin boards were quite interesting. RIP.

 

He will be missed by all peace and love to his family and friends. Thanks for sharing @bsshog40

his USA coin album articles are worth reading - everyone would get something from the articles that date back to 2003 on NGC website. At times I have made reference to them. I'm going to miss his articles coming out each month.
