1905 $2.50 gold proof?

    So this is either polished or proof. It has a nice reflective (mirror) shine to it. I tried to capture it but it is tough as you can see in the scan....then I tried to capture with the regular photos, but tough there too...

    Thoughts?

    maybe better pics?

    hope this helps - the light reflecting is on my ceiling 10 feet away

    Looks like a circ business strike to me.

    No.

    Since you've the coin in-hand, try to locate detailed photos of genuine PRs and compare. Could be a good learning experience.

    From those photos it does not look like a proof.
