Check this article out. I wonder if the older packaging will be sought after in the future or if the packaging is irrelevant to most collectors? http://www.netscape.com/viewstory/2...apnaonline.ca/articles/night.shtml&frame=true
That was an interesting read. As far as I am concerned packaging matters little in determining a coin's value. But keeping coins "mint state" to many collectors it is desirable to have coins in their original packaging just as they came from the mint.
Very good read indeed. I can only dream of buying 500 or more of something like that at one purchase then saving them for a while and waiting for the price of gold to go up a reasonable amount and reselling for a nice little profit.
I got to handle half a sheet at one of my local coin shops... very cool I wish i had the money to get one, but my finds are earmarked for other coins. I have heard that next year they will be releasing half and quarter ounce coins as well? anyone else read this anywhere?
