I was digging through my father's collection of mixed stuff in search of anything interesting. In the middle of a pile of coins I noticed this. A 1837 one Farthing token payable to The Monte De Piete Limerick. Which translates to Limerick Pawn Office. Unfortunately its not in the best condition but its still an interesting find. Just wanted to share in case anybody is interested in tokens and such.
What's known as a "unofficial farthing". I believe that one is from Cork, Ireland. Give me a sec & I'll find a ref. page.
Here ya go, enjoy. They're an interesting exo to collect. http://www.irish-tokens.co.uk/drury all thumbs.htm
