Need a slightly larger shot to be sure, but it sure looks like my N-25: To tell if your coin is the same variety, look for a small die gouge along the dentils between star #1 and #2, as can be seen in the photo above...Mike
i don't see the die crack on mine, did you notice on mine how the 5 and the curl are one! i hope i did'nt screw up i just put this on ebay at no reserve!:headbang:
From the date position I come up with four possibilities N-14, 17, 18, or 23. The problem is the features you need to see to tell them apart are too fine to be seen on photos. N-14, 17, and 18 are all common varieties but N-23 is an R-5 variety. It isn't the N-25 that Leadfoot posted. The left edge of the foot of the 1 is in a different place relative to the denticals below it.
I'm sure you know this, but as long as there is no bid yet, you can always revise and add a reserve. You can also modify the description to include the variety info.
i really appreciate all the replies,is there a portion of the coin that i can take a super close-up of that would help,i'm a jeweler and have a camera that would work if i knew what area would do it,thanks...and there has been a small bid on it.
