I have an entire box of unsearched 2005 D Bison nickels to search for that Speared Buffalo, don't know if I'm going to open them up though. My wife loves the nickels, that why we bought the box. She doesn't want to open them I should say... :yes:

 

It's PMD. Note that the lettering on the reverse is recessed and backwards. It appears that someone might have put it in a vise that has grooves on the face for holding stuff like pipe.

I was smashed by the mint set cello sealer... I posted a dime not long ago with the same look... pretty common from what I saw, and considered PMD.

 

If that were so, how do you account for the imprinted lettering on the reverse?
