Does anyone have a list of the percentage of silver in what coins. Maybe a website that lists them.

The best website for percentages of silver content and their melt values is www.coinflation.com

Cointrackers.com is a good site they also provide tips for indentifying coins, silver coin calculator, ways to determine if a coin is silver and other cool historical coin articles and information however I also use and prefer Coinflation.com.

My only complaint(s) about cointracker is they miss some specific years of Morgan dollars (which of course include some years some of my own Morgans have), they don't cover 'half dime' coins, and there is no link for a 'contact us' for feedback.

Don't people memorize things like this any more?

If you don't do it much, I wouldn't think you'd know the numbers....but if you deal with it often it becomes second nature and yes you soon memorize it. There isn't much to memorize. Just depends on how often you deal with it.

  12. Does anyone know a good site that describes the silver content of foreign coins of the 20th century?

Well said....I am new to this and was just looking for a good site that would allow me to "memorize" them for the future.

http://coinapps.com/ is the best one I know of, It will give you a list of each and every us coin and there silver content. You can also enter the number of coins you have and it will do the math for you. The best silver calculator I've found

Plus there is also a base metal calculator so you can find out how much all of those pre 1982 pennies are worth..... :high5:
